How It Works
Every company faces challenges. Good communication within the company can lead to great success; poor communication can lead to setbacks and wasted time. Let's identify your company's communication goals and how we can help you achieve them.
Using theater techniques, our workshop teaches you how and why different communication methods work with different people in different situations. What's best for you?
First we identify your company's communication challenges. Then we tailor our workshop to target those challenges.
Each individual will walk away with a new understanding of how to get a point across, listen more effectively and work more easily with others.
"The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place."
- George Bernard Shaw
You will learn to:
Master communication with your boss
Overcome the challenges of team dynamics
Interact more successfully with your direct reports.
Our goal is for you to have the communication tools to feel confident, comfortable and in control in any workplace situation.
Why a Director and an Actor?
We both are in the communications business. Our job is to tell a story or express an idea in a way that is clear, entertaining and that will hold an audience's attention.
Our process is all about doing. We call it rehearsing. We try one way and then another until we identify the most effective way to convey our ideas. You will also have the opportunity to rehearse and discover why one approach is more successful than another. Then you will implement these new skills into your work environment.
By the end of the workshop, you will have aquired the skills and techniques to handle difficult conversations, get through to challenging personalities and communicate with greater ease.
I needed to learn how to get all the players in my life to work well together, from producers to teachers and executives. A friend brought me to this fantastic workshop called AEC. Pam and Annie taught us how to create positive conversations, encourage each other honestly, and how to make all the members of a team - even one as whacky and seemingly disconnected as mine - hum like a well oiled machine. My colleagues now keep the bones of my life in working order so I can bring my heart fully to the work I love the most, at home and on the stoop!
